A free Final Cut Pro for Mac generator that draws a series concentric circles to form a tunnel.

Use it to create abstract backgrounds for text and logos between clips or as an overlay that illustrates waves of information being broadcast from a single point.

Controls

Circle Tunnel controls

Position choose the centre point of the circles, there is an on-screen control to choose the position precisely.

Colour choose the colour used the draw the circles.

Speed ranging from 0 – still circles to 200 – very fast animation.

Density controls how many circles are drawn.

Spin instead of a shape curved into a circle, you can choose to animate spirals. Spin controls the angle of the spirals.

Emboss non-zero values flatten the circles, extrudes them slightly and adds a variable amount of shadow.

Vignette control the diameter of the lit area of the generator. From 0 – all lit up to 100 – a small circular area lit up.

Background choose the background colour of the generator on which the circles are drawn.

Background Opacity set this to values less than 100% to make the generator partially transparent for when you attach this generator to a timeline clip.

Randomise the timing and the thickness of the circles is randomly chosen based on a long random number. Click the Generate button to randomly choose a new number until you are happy with thickesses and timing of the circles. If you want to try different options, keep a note of the long number associated with a combination you like. If when you click to randomise again you like the combination less, enter the number of the combination you like to see it again.
