BBC News animation using Apple Motion and Final Cut Pro X
I visited BBC New Broadcasting House in central London last week with Iain Anderson. As we were being shown around the BBC News headquarters, we happened across an animator working on a piece about Trump’s inauguration day. He was editing it in Final Cut Pro X with plugins created in Apple Motion 5, both commercial and custom.
Iain and I gave him some tips in making plugins – including replicator sequence behaviours. He also showed us BBC-branded plugins he made for Final Cut Pro X titles and animated graphs.
We also were happy to talk to others at the BBC on the latest developments in Final Cut Pro X workgroup collaboration.
